

The Public School year begins in September. Interviews are held in Dublin each month and teachers depart for Korea at the end of August.

Job Description
Public schools are very well organised as they are government run, students are polite and want to learn, so teachers rarely face any discipline problems. In public schools, class sizes are bigger than private schools and vary from about 25 students to 40 students. There will be two teachers in each English class, a Korean teacher and a Native English Speaker. The Native English teacher's role can be to assist the Korean teacher, or it can be vice versa, depending on the teachers’ qualifications and ethos of the school. An average of 22 teaching hours per week.
Salary and Benefits
Salary of 2.0-2.5 million won (€1700-1900) per month
Deductions from your salary for tax and pension contributions amount to about 7% of your gross salary. This salary allows you to save, as living costs are low and you will be getting free accommodation.
