Kansai Gaidai University is currently seeking qualified and motivated EFL/ESL professionals for Assistant Professor positions beginning in Fall 2026.

The university welcomes experienced educators as well as promising professionals early in their academic careers who are passionate about English language education in higher education settings.

📚 POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

• Teach 15 hours per week (10 classes of 90 minutes each)

• Follow standardized curriculum and course syllabi

• Hold weekly office hours

• Participate in educational research and faculty development activities

• Prepare and supervise examinations

• Participate in interviews and demonstration classes

• Attend university ceremonies, faculty meetings, and official events

🎓 QUALIFICATIONS

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

• Master’s Degree in TESOL, TESL, Applied Linguistics, English, Education, or a related field

• Minimum of 2 years university-level teaching experience

• Experience in Digital Literacy or English for Academic Purposes (EAP) preferred

• Overseas teaching or work experience is an advantage

• High English proficiency required

📌 Non-native English speakers may apply with a TOEFL iBT score of 120 (30 in each section).

• 5-year non-renewable contract• Mandatory retirement age: 65• Faculty orientation begins two weeks before semester start
