Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher to join our educational team. This role is essential in helping non-native speakers improve their English language skills, enabling them to communicate effectively in both personal and professional settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in curriculum development and a strong understanding of diverse learning technologies to enhance the educational experience for students of all ages.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement engaging ESL curricula tailored to the needs of students.
Conduct lessons that focus on reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
Utilize various learning technologies to facilitate interactive learning experiences.
Provide tutoring and additional support for students who require extra assistance.
Assess student progress regularly and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and confidence in language use.
Collaborate with other educators to integrate literacy education strategies into the curriculum.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
Experience
Proven experience in teaching English as a Second Language or related fields.
Background in curriculum development, with an emphasis on adult language education preferred.
Familiarity with special education practices is a plus, enabling effective teaching strategies for diverse learners.
Experience working with students across various age groups, including children and adults.
Strong communication skills and the ability to educate effectively in a multicultural environment.
Knowledge of childcare principles may be beneficial for working with younger learners.

Pay: $20.49 - $22.40 per hour

After school
Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed
