About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available for a Part-Time ESL Teacher in Yongsan, Seoul, working with kindergarten and elementary students. This role offers flexibility with two options: a short-term substitute position or an ongoing part-time role, making it ideal for teachers looking to gain experience in South Korea.

You’ll be supported through paid training and team-teaching with experienced Korean educators.


Position Options

🔹 Position 1: 5-Day Substitute Teacher

  • Monday to Friday

  • 10:30 AM – 6:20 PM

  • Approx. 5.5 teaching hours/day

  • Dates: April 13–17 (subject to change)

🔹 Position 2: Ongoing Part-Time Teacher

  • Monday to Friday

  • 10:30 AM – 4:30 PM

  • Approx. 4 teaching hours/day


Key Details

  • Location: Yongsan-gu, Seoul

  • Student Age Group: Kindergarten & Elementary

  • Class Size: Up to 12 students

  • Training: 3 days of observation + paid training

  • Teaching Style: Team-teaching with a Korean partner teacher

  • Staff: Supportive team of native and Korean teachers


Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, curriculum-based English lessons

  • Use fun, interactive activities to develop language skills

  • Collaborate with Korean co-teachers for lesson planning and delivery

  • Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment

  • Complete basic administrative tasks (attendance, simple feedback)

  • Participate in training and observation sessions

Requirements

Essential:

  • Native English speaker (USA or Canada preferred)

  • Bachelor’s degree (any field)

  • Eligible for a Korean teaching visa

  • Availability Monday to Friday during stated hours

Preferred:

  • Experience teaching young learners

  • ESL/EFL teaching background

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • Flexibility to take on substitute or ongoing part-time roles
