About The Position:
At Berlitz, students come not just to learn a language but also to immerse themselves in its culture. As a part-time Freelance English Instructor, you'll operate in a diverse setting offering flexible hours and a casual dress code. Employing the Berlitz Method, you'll foster an environment where students feel empowered to experiment with language and reach their proficiency goals.
We provide a flexible training course to acquaint you with the Berlitz Method, along with access to our platforms and technology to facilitate successful instruction. With students and support provided, your role is to deliver effective teaching.
Responsibilities:
Prepare lessons by reviewing provided materials and customizing content based on student needs.
Cultivate a risk-free atmosphere encouraging student experimentation and language fluency.
Document student progress post-lesson.
Your schedule is entirely based on your availability, with a commitment of 15-20 hours per week.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Teaching experience preferred but not required.
Near expert-level proficiency in English.
Outstanding communication skills.
Technical Requirements:
Minimum 5 Mbps download speed / 2 Mbps upload speed.
Stable wired internet connection (Wi-Fi not sufficient).
PC or laptop running Windows 10 or higher, or Mac OS 11 or higher (Linux not supported).
USB headset and camera.
Backup system for areas prone to power outages.
Processor speed of at least 2 GHz and RAM of 4096 MB (4GB) or higher.
