SVS School for English is a family-run English school and registered charity based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Since 2006, the school has helped Sri Lankan and international students develop valuable English communication skills to improve their educational and career opportunities.

SVS is currently seeking passionate, open-minded, and committed volunteer English teachers to join their diverse international community.

📚 POSITION DETAILS

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

📍 Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka

🕒 Teaching Schedule: Classes run Monday to Friday at:

• 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM

• 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

• 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM

• 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Volunteer teachers typically teach 3 classes per day.

👩‍🎓 Students:

• Mostly adults aged 18+

• University students, professionals, and Buddhist monks

• International students from countries including Korea, Japan, China, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Turkey, and more

👥 Class Size: Small interactive classes with approximately 24–26 students maximum.

✅ REQUIREMENTS

• Native English speaker OR excellent English proficiency• University graduate and/or TEFL/TESOL certified and/or minimum 3 years work experience in any industry• Passion for teaching and helping students succeed• Able to commit to at least 6 months of volunteering• Open-minded, adaptable, and enthusiastic personality

📌 The school assists successful volunteers with visa arrangements for Sri Lanka.
