Job Description

TSTC faculty deliver approved curriculum in an applied learning environment. This role includes planning and facilitating instruction, leading discussions, and engaging students with diverse learning styles. Faculty provide targeted mentorship, administer assessments, and offer constructive feedback to support academic growth and successful learning outcomes. Effective use of technology to enhance instruction is essential.

Faculty also serve as ambassadors for their program and for TSTC.

Core Responsibilities

Instructional Delivery

• Develop and deliver high-quality instruction

• Create course syllabi and instructional plans

• Use innovative teaching methods to support student learning

Instructional Management

• Maintain an accurate teaching schedule and student records

• Ensure a safe and effective instructional environment

• Support student evaluation and progress tracking

Student Retention & Placement

• Advise students with timely, accurate guidance

• Work with the Office of Student Success to connect students to tutoring and retention resources

Program Recruitment & Promotion

• Participate in campus tours, outreach, and recruitment activities

• Assist with departmental planning to support program growth

Teamwork & Service

• Demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, and a service-oriented mindset

• Maintain flexibility with evenings, weekends, or summer assignments as needed

• Support the mission, vision, and core values of TSTC

Other Duties as Assigned
