We're excited that you're considering a teaching position in Thailand. Follow the steps below to start your application process and embark on a rewarding journey of teaching and cultural enrichment in Thailand.
Step 1: Explore Opportunities
Browse through our website to learn about the various teaching opportunities available in Thailand. Understand the qualifications, requirements, and benefits associated with each position. Determine which teaching position aligns with your interests, skills, and career goals.
Step 2: Check Eligibility
Review the eligibility criteria for teaching positions in Thailand. Ensure that you meet the minimum qualifications, including educational requirements, teaching certifications, and relevant experience.
Step 3: Submit Your Application - HR@SoSmart.co.th
Scan and email us all the required documents, clear and in colour:
Passport with at least 6-12 months validity
Educational certificates and transcripts - minimum BACHELOR's DEGREE in any field
TEFL/TESOL certification (recommended but not essential)
Resume/CV including a current photo
(optional but recommended) Introduction video
Step 4: Initial Screening
Our team will review your application and documents to assess your suitability for the teaching position. If you meet our initial criteria, you'll be contacted for further information or an initial interview.
Step 5: Interview Process
Participate in one or more interviews, which may be conducted in person, over the phone, or through video conferencing. During the interview, we'll discuss your teaching experience, qualifications, teaching philosophy, and any additional information necessary to match you with a suitable teaching opportunity. Also, you can ask any questions you have about teaching in Thailand.
Step 6: Job Placement
Once you successfully complete the interview process and are selected for a teaching position, we'll work with you to secure a teaching placement in Thailand that aligns with your preferences and qualifications.
Step 7: Visa and Work Permit Assistance
So Smart staff will guide you through the process of obtaining the necessary visa and work permit required to teach legally in Thailand. We'll provide support and guidance throughout this process to ensure a smooth transition.
Step 8: Start Your Teaching Journey
Book flights, arrive in Thailand, settle into your new home, and commence your teaching role! We're here to support you throughout your teaching experience and help make your time in Thailand enjoyable and fulfilling.
