Our key activities in Morocco include English language instruction, testing, job placement, educational advising, teacher training, and more.
English Language Training:
Amideast is a leader in delivering English language training in the MENA region. Our communicative, practical courses are geared towards improving everyday English for students ranging from young learners to professionals. We offer general English, test preparation, and English for Special Purposes to thousands of students annually. These programs are delivered both publicly and privately in Rabat and Casablanca, as well as online.
Job Context:
Amideast - Morocco is seeking online English language teachers to join our global team of instructors. Teachers will be responsible for preparing and delivering synchronous lessons via our online platform, engaging with students asynchronously, tracking performance and attendance, and providing feedback to students.
Class Schedule:
Mondays to Fridays: 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM (GMT+1)
Saturdays: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (GMT+1)
Classes run from October 21 to December 20, 2024, and February 15 to May 17, 2025.
Responsibilities:
Teach 1.5-hour synchronous lessons once per week
Engage students with asynchronous activities between classes
Focus on improving students' oral communication
Adapt lessons to meet students’ needs and levels
Manage class dynamics to foster an inclusive environment
Track attendance and grades weekly
Utilize Amideast’s learning management system and synchronous software
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in English language teaching or education with an English specialization (or equivalent)
TESOL certificate (PCELT, CELTA, SIT TESOL, or equivalent with trainer-assessed teaching)
C1 English proficiency (CEFR)
At least two years of teaching experience, preferably with adults or university students
Experience teaching online
Reliable computer with HD webcam and stable internet
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Organized and responsive to student needs
Ability to meet weekly grading and attendance deadlines
Payment:
Up to $25/hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Payment in local currency for Morocco-based teachers, or in USD for international hires via wire transfer (based on monthly timesheet submission)
