We are a growing company looking for enthusiastic, passionate, and reliable teachers. Our teachers use authentic materials, such as storybooks, movies, and novels, to teach motivated youngsters from China.
We are currently looking for teachers who have experience teaching the following subjects:
Science and Biology
Social Studies
Test Preparation – IELTS, CELTA,TESOL, PET, and FCE
Language Arts, with a focus on Writing Skills
Pay: $32.50 CAD/teaching hour to start.
After 6 months, pay will increase to $33.50 CAD/teaching hour.
After12 months, pay will increase to $34.50 CAD/teaching hour.
After 12 months teachers will also be eligible for annual performance bonuses.
Trial classes are paid..
Students: one or two students from ages six to twelve.
Class Length: Classes are 30, 45, or 60 minutes long, depending on the age of the students and the course.
Requirements
1. Native speaker with bachelor's degree and TESOL certification or higher.
2. Experienced teaching young students, from ages 6-12
3. Be able to teach a minimum of 12 hours per week. Preference is given to teachers with greater availability.
4. Available to teach between 6pm and 9 pm during the week and between 8am and 8pm on weekends (China Standard Time).
5. High speed internet connection, quiet place to teach, good quality webcam and microphone/headset.
6. Interested in ELL and language arts pedagogy, willingness to share ideas, and always striving to improve as a teacher.
Responsibilities:
1. Deliver engaging and effective lessons to students of all ages. Teachers should be able to build rapport with thekids in order to provide a stress-free learning environment.
2. Teachers are responsible for their own lesson plans. We provide the materials, access to our resource library, lesson templates and examples. Teachers create and deliver their lessons in Powerpoint format.
3. Provide brief but regular feedback to parents regarding student progress and material covered.
We provide:
Hourly rate starts at $32.50CAD/teaching taught. Base pay is in Canadian dollars. After 6 months, pay will increase to $33.50/hour. After 12 months, pay will increase to $34.50 CAD/teaching hour. After 12 months, teachers will also be eligible for annual performance bonuses. Teachers are paid monthly by WISE.
