Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students learning English as a second language. This role requires effective communication skills, a strong understanding of curriculum development, and the ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that fosters language acquisition and cultural understanding.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and address the varied learning needs of students.

• Educate students in the fundamentals of English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversation skills.

• Utilize learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and engage students in interactive learning experiences.

• Manage classroom behavior effectively, creating a positive and respectful learning environment conducive to language acquisition.

• Provide tutoring support to students who may require additional assistance in mastering English language skills.

• Communicate regularly with students and their families regarding progress, challenges, and strategies for improvement.

• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and special education needs when necessary.

• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in adult language education.

Experience

• Previous experience in teaching ESL or related fields is preferred. (Adults).

• Proven skills in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored for diverse learners.

• Bilingual capabilities are a plus, enhancing communication with non-native English speakers.

• Familiarity with special education practices is advantageous for addressing the needs of all students.

• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain a productive learning environment.

• Experience utilizing technology in the classroom to facilitate engaging lessons is highly desirable.
